Your mini blueberry tarts so pretty and I love the way you’ve plated them. They would disappear fast at my house.
I feel your pain about parting with magazines. I have the same trouble and have solved it by not subscribing anymore. And I’m not happy reading recipes on the Ipad. If I can’t have my own copy, it just doesn’t work for me. I’ve been known to go out a buy the magazine after seeing a photo on the pad. Sad but true.
Thank you for encouraging us to make our own crust. It is so important, yet I still get lazy and fall back on store bought. But it’s not the same.
Sam
Hi, Your blueberry tarts look fabulous. I am glad to see that even you sometimes make adjustments. Sometimes we have to use what we have and not feel badly.
I have many issues of Southern Living and Traditional Homes magazines with which I can’t part.
I am pinning in hopes that I can make this soon.

Even me. 🙂 I felt I had to confess. I am really not such a purist; I just have to be careful not to eat something that has soy in it. Pie dough has lecithin, which is soybean mush. In fact almost everything in a package has soy. You can’t believe how many doctor appointments, tests, and medicine that did nothing.
Please give these a try; they make a nice nibble with minimal work. And, as for the magazines, I think I need a binder – they already have the holes.
Hi Madonna,
These little tarts are just adorable and would be perfect with a cup of tea or a sweet ending to dinner. I will look up your pie crust recipe. As far as the magazines, I have a hard time parting with them, too! Happy cooking!
Hi Madonna, well are they the cutest little tarts?! Love that combination of blueberry and orange. Just the right size, too.
I know, I try to do the same, use fresh whenever possible ~ but I think with fruit (and things like frozen peas) we’re given a pass… sometimes the quality is actually better than ‘fresh’ since it’s picked at the peak of ripeness.
I wholehearted agree, homemade pastry beats the socks off of commercially made (but I have sometimes broken that rule too), homemade is infinitely superior though.) xo~m.
P.S. Darling plate!!!
Thank you Mari. You are so kind. I really wanted to try these and did not want to wait for the season. They really were delicious and just the correct size. I would probably use a pre-made dough if I were not so allergic. I do not want to go back to those days. Although I used Laura Calder’s recipe,I usually use Martha Stewart’s recipe, and it gets easier every time I make it. My first attempts were pretty scary. Oh, and the orange just bumped up the flavor so much. I will being using that little tip from now on.
My friend and I had an addiction to that magazine! They have great recipes and their pictures are so enticing.
Would love it if you would join us on our Four Seasons Blog Hop.
Tiny is a treasure to me..
Everything is so cute small:)With just the two of us at home..and I just taste test..I find smaller of everything is better:)
They are adoable.
Thank you Monique. I totally agree with you. I no longer need that much dessert. I made more that photographed and stored them in a wide-mouthed jar, and the filling in another jar. They were great the next day. I just refreshed the crust in the oven and they were new again. I hardly ever use my microwave for anything so I did not know I could make filling. They really tasted like fresh fruit.
I just love your Mini Blueberry Tarts, a special treat. Thank you so much for sharing with Full Plate Thursday and hope you are having a great weekend!
Come Back Soon,

Oooh…blueberries are one of my favorites and these look fabulous! And I like the idea of little tarts! It’s all the rage in France now…tiny tastes of things…in verrines. Thanks for sharing!…hugs…Debbie

Thanks. I tried a Mulberry Tart just a few weeks ago and it was only so so, night before last I made Mulberry Buckle and THAT was yummy and I posted it on my blog. I will have to try your tarts next (and make my own pastry) I have only just discovered linky parties and yours is the second I have looked at. Thanks for posting!
These look so delicious! Thank you for sharing. You will be one of the features tomorrow at the Make it Pretty Monday party at The Dedicated House. Pop on in and grab a feature button for your blog. Hope to see your prettiness again at the bash! Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
These tarts are so pretty. I also have trouble parting with old issues of magazines; I’ve taken to scanning recipes and articles that I particularly want to keep. And of course, there’s always the good old-fashioned scrapbook full of recipes!
It is a cold, snowy evening in the midwest and I had a taste for something sweet and fruity. These were so easy and beyond delicious. My family loved them.
Hi! Interested in trying this recipe as looks delicious, yet simple. Could it be done with small graham cracker tarts also? If yes, would you recommend anything different with the recipe?
Thanks for any assistance and sharing. All the best!
I think you could use graham crackers. I have not tried them so I can’t be sure. I had to give up graham crackers since they contain lecithin. If you try it I would love to hear about your results. Thanks for stopping by David.
